Before and after makeover

FRANKLIN is a well-made solid beech rocking chair from the 60s. It was in very good condition but had thick black peeling paint.

To get to this point:

- More than 10 hours of stripping and 80-grit sanding,

- A 3-coat anti-woodworm treatment,

  • Proven effectiveness in accordance with standard EN 599-1

  • Insecticide: protects wood and destroys insects and termites

  • A+ VOC

- Installation of the entire back and seat veneer,

- Carving the shape of the veneer drops on the armrests with chisels,

- Cutting out the veneer drops with a scroll saw + inlaying and gluing,

- Inlaying the brass fillet on the seat,

- Fine sanding 120/180,

- Painting the seat,

- Matt varnish applied to the entire chair,
